Norilsk Nickel pays Russia $2.5 billion in damages over Arctic oil spill

The environmental cost of a massive oil spill in Russia’s Arctic region may continue to be felt for decades but the company responsible has now paid out $2.5 billion to Russia for the damage it casued.
